WHAT IS EYEBROW THREADING?

Threading is an ancient hair removal technique that involves twisting 100% cotton thread around unwanted facial hair. The hair becomes trapped between the cotton thread which allows the hair to be pulled from the follicle, allowing for a slow regrowth. Some women say they believe threading last longer than waxing. This may be because threading is able to remove even the finest hair, giving a totally smooth clean finish.

Over the last decade, eyebrow threading has become the preferred method for removing facial hair and eyebrow shaping, due to its advantages over waxing. Threading allows for complete control over which hairs are removed, even super fine hairs, resulting in a perfect arch and fabulous shape.

IS THREADING ONLY FOR THE EYEBROWS?

No, threading can be used all over the face to remove any unwanted facial hair. Threading is able to remove even the finest hair making it an ideal solution for all facial hair removal.

IS THREADING SAFE?

Accutane or Retin-A Users: Many doctors recommend threading for users of Accutane or Retin-A as waxing can burn and tear the skin. Of course, should you have any concerns we always recommend speaking to your GP.

PATCH TEST

If you has never had a Full-Face Threading, Tinting or Brow Lamination it is highly recommended that a patch test is performed beforehand. In some rare cases customers can have a reaction to these services. After the customer has undertaken the patch test they must wait for 24 hours to ensure no reaction has taken place.

AFTER CARE

Full Face:

It’s advised for 24 hours after treatment to avoid touching your face and not to perform other treatments (such as facials) and to keep your skin clean and free of germs, sweat, makeup, chemicals or skincare with active ingredients such as AHA (acid, exfoliating properties).

Brow Lamination:

It’s advised for 24 hour after treatment to avoid touching your brows, avoid self-tanners and do not get the brow hairs wet. Water or excess moisture can reverse the treatment or cause brow hairs to frizz.

Top 6 tips to achieve a perfect brow.

1. Start with a professional shape and tint!
2. Find eyebrow products that are right for your desired look, whether you prefer an HD dramatic eyebrow or you are a natural-nelly gal!
3. Always brush hairs up and out before applying brow makeup.
4. Begin to apply your brow makeup in the centre of your brows, working outwards toward the tail of your brow. Finish with minimal product on the starting point of your brow.
5. Blend, blend, blend!
6. Highlight under the brow bone. And… Ta Da!
